CAPE MAY — Jazz Vespers will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Hughes & Decatur Streets, 3 p.m. Oct. 17.
The Dan Fogel Quartet will perform. Fogel is an internationally-acclaimed master of the Hammond B-3 jazz organ and plays with great humor and passion. His quartet is top-notch.
They will be playing jazz standards, contemporary classics, and a few original numbers. Only a few groups these days are led by organists, so don’t miss this chance to hear a master at work.
Also on Sun., Nov. 21st at 3 p.m. Returning by popular demand to the Vespers stage will be Lois Smith and Friends. Lois is one of the true originals in the jazz world, with a voice that alternately croons and raises the rafters.
Her great talent and sense of humor make for highly entertaining and memorable performances.
