Grace Baptist Church Welcomes New Pastor

Grace Baptist Church of Rio Grande has a new pastor, Joseph Basso, Sr., and invites you to meet him and his family this Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. The church (formerly Grace Gospel Chapel) is located at 3802 Rt. 9 S. in Rio Grande.
Pastor Basso is originally from the Philadelphia area where he served as assistant pastor, senior pastor and interim pastor in three different congregations.  He is coming to Rio Grande from Spencerville, Ohio, where he was pastor of Hartford Independent Baptist Church.
Pastor Basso’s training in ministry includes courses at Trinity Bible College in Jacksonville, Fla., and a Bible Diploma from Berea Bible Institute in Philadelphia. He was honored recently with a Doctor’s Degree from Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Mich.
