WILDWOOD – Fr. Pio Mandato, a Franciscan Missionary priest living as a hermit in Scranton, PA under area Bishop Bombara is a guest speaker at the Charismatic Conference, Wildwood, NJ Oct. 11, 12 and 13.
Fr. Pio entered the Capuchin Franciscans at aged 17. His parents came from Pietrelcina, Italy, the same town where Saint Padre Pio lived. The family knew the famous stigmatist priest well and Fr. Pio received his First Holy Communion from Saint Padre Pio before coming to the US.
He now lives a life of prayer as a hermit and goes forth to preach.
