This two-day event provides the first of its kind in this area! It is a rare opportunity for Southern New Jersey musicians, students, teachers, choral directors and residents to experience a free choral event on Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. and a choral music clinic on Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m.
The Community Choral Concert of 40 plus voices features Joseph Martin’s Music for the Master, conducted by the composer of all the works. He will offer inspiring stories on the creation of the anthems and play several of his concert piano pieces.
The concert is a once-in-a-lifetime event and all community members will have an uplifting evening and a treasured memory. Bringing our communities together in peace and joy heals hearts and ignites passion for life.
The seven southernmost New Jersey churches, schools, community colleges and universities have been invited to sing in the concert and participate in the Choral Music Clinic on Saturday, March 23 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Cape May Court House. Registration is required.
Martin will orchestrate the Saturday choral reading session of his works March 23 in coordination with the First United Methodist Church and the largest music distribution company in the world, JW Pepper, Exton. This portion is spiritual, professional and educational.
Church and school directors will review anthems and larger works in a clinical setting that offers them a quick process to prepare for their concerts and Sunday morning worship services.
