Church Establishes Phone Prayer Line

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — The First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House is endeavoring to assist the physical and spiritual welfare of the community.
A prayer line (609) 465-5166 has been established to receive requests from those in need of prayer.
A church representative will be available to speak with callers between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily. If no one is available to receive the call, simply leave a prayer request. If callers would like a return call, include a phone number on the message.
The person’s petition will be lifted up by the person receiving it, and at the church’s Wednesday night prayer meeting. Prayer will continue for at least 30 days, or for a time specified by the caller.
Post cards are being sent to residents throughout the area regarding The Community Prayer Program. Recipients may submit prayer requests by sending the postcards back to the church, or by bringing them to the Wednesday night prayer meetings.
Prayer meetings are held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary, 1 Church St. (corner of Church Street and Route 9).
If anyone has not received a card and desires prayer, call the prayer line at (609) 465-5166, or write: Prayer Concern, c/o Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
All are welcome to join us for Sunday morning worship, 8 AM and 11 AM traditional services, 9 AM contemporary service, 10 AM Sunday School.
