If you like reggae, soca, and calypso, Avalon Community Hall, 30th and the beach, is the place to be on Aug. 8, at 7 p.m.
The Avalon Performing Arts Council is bringing the highly popular Verdict back to Seven Mile Island.
This four-man band plays bass guitar, harmonica, keyboard, guitar, and drums while they perform hits by Bob Marley, Arrow, Barron, UB-40, Paul Simon, and Cat Stevens, as well as some original music from their CD Irie, Irie, Irie.
Some of Verdict’s regular performance venues are Nells in NYC, Showboat’s House of Blues in Atlantic City, Kat-Man-Du in Trenton, and The Inlet in Somers Point.
The doors open at 7 p.m.; music starts at 8 p.m. The snack bar will be open and serving Caribbean Pork Barbeque as the night’s specialty. Should you wish, bring your own food and beverage; ice will be provided.
