L&F and Wilsey

By Press Release

CHANTILLY, Va. — Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., the No. 1 family-owned residential real estate company in the United States, today announced that it has joined forces with Wilsey Realty. Going forward, Wilsey Realty, a real estate brokerage and vacation rentals firm in Cape May, will operate under the Long & Foster brand at its existing location. April Vanaman, who currently heads Long & Foster’s Wildwoods office, will serve as the Cape May branch manager.
“Like Long & Foster, Wilsey Realty has a long history of success in real estate, and we’re pleased to welcome their team to our family,” said Terry Spahr, regional manager of Long & Foster’s Coastal region, which includes all of the Jersey shore. “Together, we’ll build upon and expand the already high quality of support and services that we offer home buyers and sellers, as well as vacationers, in southern New Jersey.”
Currently owned and operated by Gail Wilsey Morrison, Wilsey Realty specializes in traditional real estate services, as well as vacation and second-home sales, in Cape May County. The brokerage also oversees numerous vacation rentals throughout the popular shore markets in Cape May, Avalon and Wildwood, among other neighborhoods. Its team of over a dozen licensed real estate professionals has served the Jersey shore since 2005, and during that time, Wilsey Realty has grown to become a dominant real estate firm in market.
“Long & Foster is known not only for providing the highest quality of service and support to home buyers and sellers, but also for helping real estate agents achieve success in the business, so joining the Long & Foster family presents an extraordinary opportunity for both the Wilsey Realty team and our clients,” said Wilsey Morrison. “We’re excited to take full advantage of all the marketing, training and technology that Long & Foster provides, including its exclusive relationship with Christie’s International Real Estate in southern New Jersey.”
Long & Foster’s partnership with Wilsey Realty aligns with the company’s overall growth strategy and expands its presence along the southern New Jersey shore. With the addition of Wilsey Realty, Long & Foster now has more than a dozen offices in New Jersey. The company also serves as the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate throughout the southern New Jersey market where Wilsey Realty is based.
“We’re pleased to welcome Wilsey Realty to Long & Foster and to expand our presence in the New Jersey market,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Long & Foster strives to serve as the No. 1 choice for home buyers, sellers and vacationers in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, and the addition of the Wilsey Realty team further enhances the high quality of service we offer to clients along the Jersey shore. Together, we will ensure that our combined real estate forces continue to uphold the strong tradition that has allowed our company to grow and succeed.”
Joe Amatangelo, president of Long & Foster Real Estate’s property management and vacation rental division, agreed. “The team at Wilsey Realty brings a wealth of knowledge in vacation and resort rentals that will further enhance the quality of service that Long & Foster already provides its clients, and with their knowledge of the shore, as well as our expert marketing, training and technology, we’re sure to achieve continued success in the region,” Amatangelo said.
