Bill Scavone Named President and COO of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc.

MORRIS PLAIN, N.J. – Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., headquartered in Morris Plains, N.J., is pleased to announce that Bill Scavone has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. In his new leadership role, Scavone will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to grow the Weichert® franchise presence nationally.
Scavone brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience to his new position, including 16 years working with franchise businesses. He joined Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. in 2005 as the senior vice president of franchise development and took on the role of chief operating officer in 2008.
“Bill has been an integral part of the Weichert Real Estate Affiliates team for nearly 12 years and has been instrumental in its successful development,” said Denise Smith, president of the Weichert Affiliated Services Group. “I am confident that Bill will continue to lead the Weichert franchise system on its upward path of prosperity and growth as he assumes this new leadership role.”
Prior to joining Weichert, Scavone served as senior vice president of franchise development for Cendant Corporation, owner of familiar brands such as Wyndham, Avis and Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services. As president and COO, Scavone welcomes the opportunity to expand the Weichert national brand.

Scavone, a native of Massachusetts, lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children. He attended Boston College and earned a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A.
