Proceeds from Fallen Heroes Polar Plunge Donated to 2017 Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors’ Weekend

Polar Plunge donation

By Press Release

North Wildwood Shirt Shop owner Jack McCartney and Fallen Heroes Polar Plunge President Dennis Dool presented a check for $5,000 to Chief Matthew Gallagher of the North Wildwood Police Department to benefit the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors’ Weekend (MAPFSW). The donation came from proceeds raised during the Fallen Heroes Polar Plunge held on Feb. 25.
This year’s Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors’ Weekend will be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in North Wildwood. Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors’ Weekend is a series of events that recognize truly forgotten heroes: the survivors of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters, including family members and co-workers.
Also, the Sun and Sand 5K Run/1 Mile Walk will be held on July 15 in North Wildwood to benefit MAPFSW. For more info about MAPFSW and the run/walk, visit midatlanticsurvivors.org.
