STONE HARBOR – Robyn McCrossin, on behalf of the Philadelphia Flyers Charitable Foundation, presented a check for $6,835 to Tom McCullough, commander of the Stephen C. Ludlam Post 331 of The American Legion.
The funds will to be given to the Vineland Veterans Memorial Home.
According to a release, the presentation was made in a private ceremony at Post 331’s building in Stone Harbor.
Present, in addition to McCrossin and McCullough, was Lisa Williams, supervisor of Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator at the Vineland Veterans Home, Robyn’s son Luke McCrossin, and Post 331 members Jim Fleischman, Spence Jones, and Jon Ready.
The Flyers Charitable Foundation of the Comcast Company has been a supporter of the Vineland Home for several years.
This donation was from the proceeds of the Flyers Trial on the Isle in June in the borough, which was supported by Post 331.
The donation with a supplemental donation from Post 331 will be used to meet the veterans home’s need for an upgraded media and Wi-Fi system.
Additionally, some of the funds will also be used to support The American Legion’s New Jersey Department Commander Robert Newell’s project of replacing fountains, waterfall, and landscaping at the home to provide a more relaxing environment for the home’s residents.
