WILDWOOD — The 15th annual Peer Leadership Conference is set for Nov.19, at the Wildwood Convention Center.
It is partnered and presented by Cape Assist and Rutgers Cooperative Center, and open to all middle school and high school students, grades six through 12.
The day will begin with group pictures, local exhibitors and an opening session. The students and advisors will then attend workshops and complete their day with lunch. This year’s focus is on “Choices” and the workshops will center on making good decisions.
A representative from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety will be the opening presentation for the conference. The mission of the division is to reduce fatalities, injuries and property damage on the roads of New Jersey resulting from traffic crashes.
The presentation will provide students with information that will enable them to make safe driving decisions.
Donations are still needed for the conference to help with the cost of providing breakfast and lunch, and a bag of giveaways for each participating student. Exhibitors are also being sought.
