COURT HOUSE — Patricia Munson-Siter will be honored at the Cape May Patriots Chapter National Society (NS) of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) meeting in the Cape May Historic Society Library in Cape May Court House on Oct. 27, 2013.
Pat received the NJ DAR 2012 Outstanding Regent Award. The award was presented by NJ DAR Regent, Diane Argrave (on the left) and 2013 regent Connie Olde (on the right) at the NJ NSDAR Fall Meeting in Princeton NJ on Sept. 22.
Patricia served the Chapter and community by her initiatives to interact with other NJ chapters, volunteer efforts for the cherished Veterans at the Veterans’ Home in Vineland and the Historic Society Library and Museum. Her patriotic pursuit in assisting potential members to enrich their American heritage has indeed enriched the Chapter. Her dedicated commitment to the American History Essay Contest each year has established the Chapter in the community as a positive force in the education of young Americans.
Patricia has published creative newsletters, yearbooks and Genealogy Corner brochures that have created links with all members and potential members. She has promoted a sense of connectivity within the chapter and neighboring chapters that the DAR is not just an organization, it is a group of women who have become sisters – sisters by choice – as the Chapter strives to promote the objectives of the National Society: historic preservation, education and patriotism.
