COURT HOUSE – Patricia Keltie, Pharmacy Department Volunteer has been named Volunteer of the Month for November, 2010. Pat has served Cape Regional Medical Center as a volunteer since March 2006 and has contributed more than 1,600 hours.
Pat is an active layperson at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Cape May, works part time in ticket sales and information at Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, and volunteers in the Pharmacy at Cape Regional Medical Center two days a week.
On Wednesday, December 1st, Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services, Richard Artymowicz, Pharm.D, Director of Pharmacy Services, and Gretchen Sorensen, R.Ph joined with all the Pharmacy staff and many of her fellow volunteers as they honored Pat with the presentation of the Volunteer of the Month Award. Pat was presented with flowers, a Special Touch Volunteer pin, gift certificate and commemorative plaque.
“There are those with quiet compassion and presence who serve us so well,” stated Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services. “Those character attributes are a fitting description of Pat Keltie.” “We sincerely appreciate all that Pat does for the Pharmacy and really miss her tremendously when she isn’t able to be with us”, stated Dr. Rich Artymowicz, Director of Pharmacy. He added, “We know that Pat has other community volunteer commitments, and are further grateful for her service at our hospital”
“I am just shocked!” exclaimed Keltie. “I love my work at Cape Regional Medical Center and look forward each week to volunteering in the Pharmacy.” Volunteering is a family affair for The Keltie’s since sister, Johanna, also volunteers at the hospital as an East Lobby Desk Reception Volunteer!
