SEA ISLE CITY – “Hidden in Plain Sight,” an interactive workshop about harmful drugs and paraphernalia, aimed at parents, grandparents and concerned adults, will be held Oct. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the former Sea Isle City Public School, 4501 Park Road.
Mayor Leonard Desiderio, Sea Isle City’s Municipal Alliance Committee, the Sea Isle City Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office will host the adults-only event. Child care will be provided.
During this event, participants will get a closer look at the latest substance abuse trends and hiding spots. They will learn what to look for in their own homes (including ways children may hide harmful drugs and paraphernalia “in plain sight”).
To better clarify just how easily dangerous items can be hidden, participants will walk through a simulated teenage bedroom and may be amazed by what they learn, according to a release.
Due to the nature of the materials being discussed, this event is for adults only.
Complimentary pizza and salad will be served; child care will be provided for school-age children.
