Ocean City to Participate in Operation Medicine Cabinet

OCEAN CITY — Ocean City will be hosting an Operation Medicine Cabinet New Jersey local collection site as part of the first statewide medicine disposal day in the nation.
The event will take place in front of the Ocean City Intermediate School, 1801 Bay Avenue, where residents can drive through and drop off their unused or expired prescription medication.
The event is scheduled for September 25th, between the hours of 10am and 2pm. This initiative, open to all residents, was organized to encourage local community residents to properly dispose of their usused, unwanted and expired medicine.
This statewide effort, with over 250 participating New Jersey police departments, is being spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division (DEA), the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General and the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ).
