YEAGER, BEATRICE A., 86, of Cape May Court House and formerly of Avalon and Westmont, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2013 at Emeritus Cape May. Born Nov. 24, 1927 in Camden, NJ, “Bea” was the seventh child of Rudolph and Bertha (nee Hirth) Yeager. Bea spent most of her life in Camden County before relocating to Avalon in 1993. She summered in Diamond Beach and Avalon for most of her life. Bea was a long-time employee of the Sears Roebuck Company in Camden and Moorestown. After retiring from Sears she spent most of her time with her three great grand nephews David (Anne), Michael and Stephen Coskey who were the light of her life. Through “her boys” Bea grew into an avid sports fan hardly ever missing a televised Philadelphia 76ers, Eagles, Phillies or Flyers game. And for many years she was a fixture on the sidelines at Middle Township High School boys soccer and basketball games where she was affectionately known by everyone as “Aunt Bea”. She is survived by many relatives including her sister-in-law Mary Yeager of Gloucester Twp., nieces Susan (James) Waters of Sea Isle City, Diana Recuperio and Mary (Caesare) Cosenza, nephews Jack (Pat) Keenan of Galloway Township, Bob (Joyce) Bohlman of Hammonton and Dave (Monica) Coskey of Avalon. She was predeceased by her parents as well as sisters Bertha Keenan and Ruth Bohlman and brothers Rudolph, Robert, Bernard and William Yeager. A gathering of friends and family will take place at 10AM on Monday, January 6, at The Ev. Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 9212 Third Avenue in Stone Harbor followed a celebration of her life at 11AM.
