WHITTINGTON, CHRISTOPHER, 37 years old, of South Seaville, passed away at home on June 30 with his loving parents by his side. Born with cerebral palsy, Christopher faced many challenges. He enjoyed going to the Daybreak Medical Day Care Program housed at Special Services. There he was loved by a wonderful staff: Miss Denise, Miss Debbie and Miss Ladonna, for whom his parents are most grateful. Christopher looked forward to week-end outings, especially to the Mall or to the grocery store. He was happy when those he encountered looked beyond his disability to see the real person he was. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” Christopher taught his parents the meaning of grace under pressure and in return he became their brave little hero, the wind beneath their wings. Christopher is survived by his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth, and his brother Shaun (Kim) and nephews Garryn and Braden, as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He is also survived by his special care-giver, Marielis Ruiz, and her substitute, Miss Bev. Burial will be private. At a later date, the family anticipates celebrating Christopher’s life at a Memorial Service. If you so desire, donations in his memory may be sent for the Daybreak Program. Checks should be made out to the “CMCo. Spec. Sers. Ed. Foundation.” Indicate for “Daybreak Program” on check. Mailing address: CMCo. Spec. Sers. School Dist., 4 Moore Rd. DN 704, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
