WARNER, SADIE B.

WARNER, SADIE B., 85, of Woodbine, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Meadville, VA to the late Johnnie B. and Pattie (Stephens) Davis, she moved here 59 years ago. A member of the First Baptist Church in Woodbine, she accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 12 in County Line Baptist Church in Halifax, VA. She was a faithful member who served as an usher and sang in the choir. She enjoyed fishing, photography, and horticulture. She retired from the Woodbine Developmental Center after working 27 years there. Ms. Warner is survived by her five children, Lindley D. Dixon, Diane C. Hodge, Aaron L. Warner, Shelia M. Love, and Sharie M. McClendon; her two brothers, Leroy Davis and Israel Davis; her two sisters, Bessie Davis Harmon and Doris M. Dixon; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two previous husbands and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1324 DeHirsch Avenue, Woodbine, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
