She was born in Washington DC to Reginald and Katharine Whitaker, she moved to Cape May County in the early 1980’s from Wilmington, DE. She worked in Social Services for the State of Delaware and loved to read. Katharine is survived by her children: Rick Banning, Julia Millar, and Melissa Walton; granddaughter Karen Stein; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jeremy; and her nephew Joe Whitaker and his wife Pam and children Sarah and James.
