VETTER, DORIS E., 87, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died suddenly on Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Field Bramlage. She was a former resident of Roxborough and had lived here for twenty five years. Doris was a retired administrative assistant for Arco Chemical. She was an active member of Maris Stella Parish of Avalon where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, playing pinochle and cards; doing cross-word puzzles and Sudoku; she enjoyed reading, especially mysteries. Doris enjoyed baking. Her specialties were cookies, scones, pound cake; and without her chocolate cake, it was not a party. She enjoyed her independence as she was a member of The Women’s Community Club of Cape May and the Senior Citizens of Cape May Court House. She was a great caregiver to her late husband, Edward who died in 2008. She is survived by her children, Susan Ross and husband, David, Richard and his wife, Vanna, Kathy Vetter and her partner, John Daly and Barbara Federici and her husband, Nicholas; brother, Edward Bramlage; sister, Rita Koller; five grandsons, David Ross, Jr., Edward Ross, Charles Nguyen and his wife, Kim, Peter Tran and Nicholas Federici, Jr.; and two great- grandchildren, Natalie and Melanie Nguyen. In addition to her husband, she was proceeded in death by her sister, Marie Collard. The Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 11 am at Maris Stella Church of St. Brendan The Navigator Parish, 5012 Dune Drive, Avalon, NJ 08202; where a viewing will be held from 9 am to 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St. Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
