VENAFRO, EVE M., age 84, of Cape May Point passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her home. Eve was born in Philadelphia, PA and has been a Cape May Point resident since 1960. She was a dispatcher for the NJ State Police Marine Bureau for more than 18 years. Prior to that, she was secretary to US Congressman William J. Green, Jr. of Philadelphia. Most of all she would want to be remembered as mother. She had great pride in her family and will be sorely missed by her most priceless possessions her children: Evamarie (Pete) Imler; Walt (Joyce) Franks III; Mary Franks; and Jane Blaszczyk. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Erin, Jimmy, Joey, Julia, Wojo, Caroline, & Bobby; her baby sister Maryellen (Edward) Horne and their children: Jill, Toots, & Edward; her brother Edward (Rosemary) Nessler and their children: Edward, Tony, & Rosemary; and her very great granddaughter Devin. Eve was preceded in death by her first husband Walt Franks and her second husband Ernest Venafro. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends were received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
