TROVARELLI, MICHAEL M., 65, passed away at home on September 17, surrounded by family and friends after a brief struggle with cancer. Mike was born in Vineland and came to Wildwood in the late 60’s and became a permanent resident of the island. He was well known as the owner of the Pacific Ave. “Washette”. Many people actually thought his name was Mike Washette. He later owned the notorious Wacky Wick candle shop also on Pacific Ave. where many people will remember his Great Dane, Zeb, who guarded the doorway. His home on Spencer Ave. showcased his talents in stain glass and gardening: always a gathering place for friends. After moving off the island he continued in the construction business, building houses with his crafty mason work. We will all remember his love for motorcycles, animals and the pleasure he found in building and maintaining his Koi pond. He is survived by his loving wife Linda, and his step-son Frank DeMarco, his sister Barbara Curcio & husband Vincent, brother Raymond Battelini & wife Sunny. He was predeceased by his parents Nettie & Frank Trovarelli. He will be sadly missed by many special friends. Services will be held at the Lou Booth Memorial Ampitheather on 2nd and Ocean Ave., North Wildwood, NJ at 5 PM Thursday, Sept 23rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Trovarelli Legacy, c/o Turner & Stauffer Co., PA,
