TRIBULSKI, JR., PETER JOSEPH, 79, of Stone Harbor, NJ and Fort Myers, FL, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2017. Peter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean, as well as his children, Wendy Tribulski, Peter Joseph Tribulski III and wife Patty (Lavan), Matthew Tribulski and wife Larissa Smith, and Brian Tribulski and his wife Jennifer (Schmidt) and eight grandchildren.
Peter was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Law School. He served in the US Army in 1960 as well as the Army Reserves from 1961-1967. Peter’s professional career lasted from 1958 to the present, working as an engineer, patent lawyer and corporate lawyer for AT&T, then running a construction company, Tribulski Builders, with his son Matthew, and finally working in private practice doing patent law.
Always interested in what you were doing and what you had to say, Peter was a consummate questioner of family and friends as well as all he met on his world travels. Peter made it to every continent whether as a solo traveler, with his wife Jean, or one of his children or grandchildren. Peter’s trips were frequently adventurous: riding on a cargo container ship across the north Atlantic, seeing Antarctica from an ice breaker, or riding on the Trans-Siberian Express. Peter enjoyed taking the road less travelled not just because it was more interesting but because he would undoubtedly meet more interesting people on those roads. Peter’s travels and interest in learning more was not the only way he inspired his family and friends, but also through his commitment to serving others – he was a leader for Boy Scout Troop 162 in Summit, NJ, and served on the school board and zoning board in Stone Harbor, NJ.
Peter was greatly loved and will be much missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life was held at Radzieta Funeral Home on Monday, October 9th, 2017. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Peter’s memory to Cooper University Hospital, www.foundation.cooperhealth.org/ways-to-give/make-a-donation, Child Life Program or Intensive Care Unit – Nursing.
