TRACEY, RITA I., (87), formerly Rita I. Braca was born in Sea Isle City on April 30th, 1922, died peacefully at home on March 4th 2010. Mrs. Tracey assisted her husband in the operation of their many businesses, among them; The Donut Bar, Braca Theatre, The Inn at Beesley’s Point, Braca Real Estate, Tracey Real Estate, The Madeline Theatre Candy Shop, Sea World Casino and The Braca Theatre Building. Rita graduated from Ocean City High School in 1940 and married Harry W. Tracey in 1941, having celebrated their 65th anniversary in 2006. Rita is survived by her sons James L. Tracey, wife Lynn Tracey; Terrence E. Tracey, wife Lisa Y. Tracey; and Michael J. Tracey, wife Heather Tracey, and daughters Bernadette M. Gabriel, Fiance Michael Zollo and Penelope A. Yorke, husband James Yorke. In addition, she was blessed with 19 Grandchildren and 16 great Grandchildren. Rita helped to organize and was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America in Sea Isle City. She was a life long member of the Sea Isle City Republican Club, having held many offices in that organization. She was very active in promoting Sea Isle City as a family resort, including traveling to Montreal, Canada in the mid- 60′ s with her husband Harry Tracey to personally invite the Canadian people to vacation in Sea Isle. Rita was a member of Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Sea Isle City. A Mass of Christian Burial offered Tuesday morning at 11 oclock from St. Josephs R. C. Church, 43rd and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ where friends may call from nine oclock until the time of Mass. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeths Cemetery, Goshen, NJ.
