TRABER, FREDERICK J., 89, of Rio Grande, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 with his wife and family by his side at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA. he graduated Dobbins Vocational School and joined the U.S. Army where he served with the 330 Bomb Squadron in Guam during World War II. After service he moved to Wildwood, NJ where he resided for the next 67 years. He was a commercial fisherman and boat captain for Snow Canning Company and others. He joined Union Carpenters Local 1743 and enjoyed building everything from boats to toys and complete houses. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in North Wildwood 585 and a life member of American Legion Post 184 for 56 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 65 years, two sons; Rick (Janet) of Wildwood Crest, NJ and Matthew of Cape May, NJ; grandson Eric of Cape May Court House, NJ and granddaughter Megan (Michael) of Rio Grande, NJ; great granddaughter Elizabeth Rose; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00am at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing was at 9:30am. Interment was in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. CURRAN RICHARD J. (Rip) 1944-2024 Richard J. Curran, 80, of Wildwood Crest, N.J., passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024. Born in Somers Point, N.J., he was a local resident for 80 years.
