TRABER, FREDERICK J., 89, of Rio Grande, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 with his wife and family by his side at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he graduated Dobbins Vocational School and joined the U.S. Army where he served with the 330 Bomb Squadron in Guam during World War II. After service he moved to Wildwood, NJ, where he resided for the next 67 years. He was a commercial fisherman and boat captain for Snow Canning Company and others. He joined Union Carpenters Local 1743 and enjoyed building everything from boats to toys and complete houses. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in North Wildwood 585 and life member of American Legion Post 184 for 56 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great great grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 65 years, two sons: Rick (Janet) of Wildwood Crest, NJ and Matthew of Cape May, NJ; grandson Eric of Cape May Court House, NJ and granddaughter Megan (Michael) of Rio Grande, NJ; great granddaughter Elizabeth Rose; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
