THISTLE, MARY M. “MIMI” (Nee MORGAN), 73, of Cape May and formerly of Blue Bell, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, September 5, 2013. Mimi was a lifelong summer resident of Cape May before moving here permanently in 2002. She graduated from Georgetown Visitation High School in Washington, DC and later graduated from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. While in Cape May, Mimi was very active and was a member of the Cottagers, the Beach Club, the Corinthian Yacht Club, Tennis Club and Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Her “Mimi”isms will be missed by all. She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas M. Thistle, Jr. (2001). Mimi will be dearly missed by her loving family which includes her four children, Thomas (and Kathleen) Thistle, Timothy (and Kirsten) Thistle, Megan (and John) Nesbitt and Alicia (and David) Kiniry; one sister, Noreen (and Michael) Piron; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Wednesday evening from 6PM-8PM in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May. An additional viewing will take place on Thursday from 12:30PM-1:20PM in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington St. Cape May with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 1:30PM. Interment will take place privately on Friday in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
