Lauretta Amelia Sudan, 73 – of Whitesboro, NJ was born to the late Leonard James and Annie Warrick, on August 23, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1973, she married Frank Sudan and from that union came five daughters.Lauretta, known by many as Rita, graduated from Middle Township High School. She went on to attend Cape May County Vocational School where she obtained her LPN credentials.Lauretta worked as a staff and operating room scrub nurse, then at Woodbine Developmental Center. This allowed her to transition to opening her own home for special needs, which was always her deepest compassion.Sister Rita became Missionary Sudan, under the late Apostle Robert Farrow. She was then elevated to Senior Missionary under Mount Zion Commandment Church, where she was known as the “Church Grandmom.” Her love of fundraising was exhibited throughout all of her church history. She is affectionately known as, “The Queen of Hospitality.” From those considered ejects and rejects, to the elite and royal, she knew how to entreat them all! She had a sincere love for people!Lauretta departed this life on February 26, 2020, in the comfort of her home. She leaves to mourn: a devoted husband of 47 years, Frank Sudan; six daughters – Annie Farrow (Garry Farrow), Kim Adams (Kevin Adams), Robin Howell, Vindra Charles (Jimmy Charles), Monique Sudan, Moriah Sudan; two sons – Brandon Sudan and Michael Sudan; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. We would like to thank everyone who sent their condolences during this time.
