STORRER, JAMES M, (“Jim”), 92, of New Richmond, WI passed peacefully to be with the Lord on 11/15/2016 surrounded by his family.Jim was born in Jersey City, NJ, son of George and Marie (De Medici), grew up in Franklin Lakes, NJ where he was a volunteer fireman and served at the police department. lived most of his life in Oakland, NJ. After Jim retired, Jim lived in Cape May, NJ and later moved to New Richmond, WI to be closer to his family.Jim was a passionate man and always wanted to help others. He served as New Jersey District Governor of the Lions Club in NJ. He was active at the Cape May United Methodist Church and attended the New Richmond United Methodist Church. Jim was an accomplished artist and was still creating sketches, paintings and wood carvings up until his death. Jim was master weaver by trade, owned Campgaw Woven Label Co and retired from Warner Woven Label Co.Jim was predeceased by his parents and brother George. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Shirley (De Baun) and his daughters, Paula (Frank) Nauss of Star Prairie, WI and Pam Storrer of Sunnyvale, CA. Also, survived by Grandchildren, Jeremy Nauss (Michelle) of Roberts, WI, Allison Schilling (Peter) of New Richmond, WI and Ian Nauss (Karoline) of St. Paul, MN. Jim is also survived by four Great-Grandchildren, Tucker Nauss, Caleb and Adele Schilling and Edgar James Nauss.Please send any memorials to the Humane Society, Cape May United Methodist Church or New Richmond United Methodist.The family wishes to thank the staff at Regions Hospital for the excellent care he received while there and the excellent support they gave to his family.
