STOKES, ALLEN R.

STOKES, ALLEN R., 70, of Millville, NJ, passed away April 4, 2017. Allen was born to the late Richard and Alma (formerly DeCamp) Stokes. He served in the US Army and fought in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Allen worked as a commercial fisherman at Barney’s Dock in Atlantic City and as a ship welder at the Dorchester Shipyard. He loved being outdoors and riding on his Harley.Allen is survived by his son, Raymond Stokes, and daughter, Kimberly Eisinger; as well as grandchildren: Emily, Erin, and Sean McDowell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Stokes, and sister, Ginny Rhodes.Services are private. Donations may be made in Allen’s name to Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 83, 220 Buck Street, Millville, NJ 08332.
