SMITH, PETER ALAN, age 80, of Cape May Court House passed away peacefully Saturday, November 21, 2015. Peter was born June 25, 1935 in Roxborough, PA. He attended Shawmont Grammar School and graduated from Central High School. Peter as the son of the late Alfred and the late Mary Alice Smith. He is survived by his sister Judith A Smith-Martinez and her husband Frank and their three children: Kyle, Keith & Kevin. Peter worked for the airline industry for many years in Philadelphia and Chicago. Later in his career, Peter worked for Driftwood RV (for over 25 years); starting at Holly Lake RV Resort where he helped to develop and manage the campground. Peter ended his career as a manager for Driftwood Campground and Driftwood RV Center. He was much more than an employee for the campground and RV center; he was considered a part of the Driftwood family and he will be deeply missed by everyone at Driftwood. In addition, Peter was very active in his South Jersey community. He was an active member of the South Dennis Trinity United Methodist Church and he enjoyed Cape May County politics. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the South Dennis Trinity United Methodist Church, 134 Main St, Dennisville, NJ 08214.
