SLOVAK, BENJAMIN B., 97, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017. Born in New Brunswick, NJ to the late John and Anna Kulik Slovak, he moved here in 1989 after living in East Brunswick since 1951. He worked as a chemist for Union Carbide in New Brunswick.Mr. Slovak was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and PT Boat organizations. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, swimming, and boating. He loved his hunting dogs and German Short Hair Pointers were his favorite.Mr. Slovak is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen; his sons, Benjamin Jr., Charles, James, and Theodore; his ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 129 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House.
