SHAW, HOWARD R., age 47, of Cape May, NJ died July 4, 2013 at his home in Middleburg, Va. He graduated from Fairmont College in W.V. and received his masters at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI. He retired in 2009 as a Commander in the USCG after 20 honorable years. He was appointed as the Deputy National Security Advisor to U.S. Senator Trent Lott in Washington, DC. He served as the USCG Liaison to the Royal Australian Navy in Darwin, Australia. He loved his Lord, family and country. Howard Shaw was preceded by his wife, Katherine Shaw. He is survived by his father, Ronald R. Shaw and his sister Ronna Pomykacz as well as her family. There will be a graveside service at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery ( 780 Seashore Rd., Cold Spring, NJ on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11am followed by a buffet lunch at The Lighthouse Church at 1248 Rt.9 South, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
