SANGUINETTI, EUGENE

SANGUINETTI, EUGENE (“Gene”, “Poppa Gene”), 85, of North Wildwood, Left this life in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ March 4, 2017. Born June 3, 1931 in South Philly where he graduated from South Philly high school. Gene and his parents came to Wildwood crest in 1949 where they started building homes. They then went into the motel business in North Wildwood. Married to Rita Forte (60 years) they had three children, Gina Sanguinetti, Richard Sanguinetti (Donna), Eugene Sanguinetti (Susan). Also five grandchildren Shannon Feltwell (Robbie), Stephanie Pecora (Dr. Steven), Brandi Pidcock (Travis), Eric Sanguinetti, and Andrea Sanguinetti Dubens (Jonathan), also Joseph Sidebotham (Vicky), and Michael Sidebotham, and many great-grandchildren. He was hired as a building inspector for the city of North Wildwood where he served as the subcode official for 13 years. He was then hired in Absecon and Moorestown. Gene was also a draftsman and drew all of his own blueprints. He was also very active in the politics of the city bringing about needed changes, such as being instrumental in getting the first democratic councilman elected, so as to have a two-party system. Services will be held at Covenant Bible Church,123 Fishing Creek Rd. Fishing Creek, where friends may call Saturday March 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. services immediately following.
