SALTZBURG, WENDY, of Stone Harbor, NJ and Hollidaysburg, PA died peacefully on November 4, 2016.Wendy is survived by her husband Dr. Michael, of Hollidaysburg, PA; her children, Christopher Saltzburg of Jupiter, FL, Rebecca Saltzburg of Boone, NC, Mark Saltzburg of Hollidaysburg, PA, and Lauren Saltzburg of Philadelphia, PA; her five grandchildren, Radhika, Blake, Jai, Ryan, and Trey; and her brother, Louis Walton, III of Sarasota, FL. She is preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Walton Wheeler of Naples, FL and her parents, Louis and Jane Walton of Hollidaysburg, PA.Wendy was born and raised in Hollidaysburg, PA where her father served as a lawyer and active community leader. After graduating from Hollidaysburg High School, she went on to graduate from the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA where she majored in Education and participated in the school choir. She later completed a Masters Degree of Education at Rowan University and earned seven subsequent certifications in the education field.Her career in education spanned 35 years, the final 17 of which were at the Estell Manor School District in Estell Manor, NJ where she was the Vice Principal and Head of the Special Education team.In addition to her career, Wendy was a member of both the Presbyterian Church in Hollidaysburg, PA and the Lutheran Church in Stone Harbor, NJ. Her favorite hobbies included knitting, reading, and walking her dogs, Bretton and Rocky. Wendy could always be found on the sidelines of her childrens athletic events as well as accompanying her husband on their travels across the United States.A celebration of her life was held at the Stone Harbor Golf Club in Cape May Court House, NJ on Saturday, November 12 and she will be buried at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Hollidaysburg, PA.
