RUZILA, JOHN ROBERT

RUZILA, JOHN ROBERT, 81, went home to heaven. He was born in Passaic and was the son of the late John and Anna (Kooch) Ruzila.He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marye (Trinkle) Ruzila.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings Richard Ruzila, Corrine Becker, Arlene Kruge, and Ellyn Coleman. He is pre-deceased by his sister Dorothy LaBue.John made his home in Clifton and Sea Isle City, New Jersey. John was a graduate of Garfield High School and Fairleigh Dickinson College (University).John was President/Owner of Ruzilas Express Service, Inc. a trucking company originally established in 1926 by his grandfather. John delighted in his business and supporting the communities including the Garfield Chamber or Commerce and other civic organizations until his death. Always concerned about his neighbors and their well-being John was a founding member of the Sea Isle City Taxpayers Association. John was a kind, considerate and magnificent man. John was also, although not a Rotarian, a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He also enjoyed his annual volunteer work with his wife supporting the Ocean Drive Marathon in Sea Isle City. His generosity was also mentioned in Dr. Irene Jamesons book, Polar Bear Queen.Uncle John, as he was known by all, was the uncle to numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He especially loved visitors to his Sea Isle City home where he could be found eating meals on the deck and watching the ocean. His humility and devoted love for his wife, family and friends was admired by all.Cremation services were private and under the supervision of Compassionate Cremation Services, Inc. of Clifton.Memorial contributions can be made to the Sea Isle City Ambulance Corps, 233 John F Kennedy Blvd, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243 or to the Townsends Inlet Civic Center Association, c/o Louise Clemente, 138 85th St., Sea Isle City, NJ 08243
