RODRIGUEZ, VIRGINIA S., of Philadelphia died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Delaware Valley Veterans Home in Philadelphia. She was 94.Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Walter Eugene Rodriguez.Born in Philadelphia, Virginia was the daughter of the late Bronislaw and Victoria Wardynska Topolski, sister of the late Raymond (Ann) Topolski and was the mother-in-law of the late Frank Norman Derr III.Virginia was originally a resident of the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia before moving to Holland. She eventually moved to Cape May, New Jersey and fostered many friendships. Virginia also worked many jobs throughout her lifetime, including at the Frankford Arsenal and with France Packaging in Philadelphia and Exide Technology in Newtown. She also worked for several years at the polls in Cape May. In her leisure, she enjoyed tending to her garden vegetables, roses and prized hydrangeas. She was very talented and knowledgeable about many subjects and idle was not in her vocabulary. Virginia also traveled with Walter in the United States and Europe.Virginia is survived by her daughters, Denise L. Derr and Estelle D. Cella. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Jaclyne (Brandon) Casella, Erik Derr Esq., Jamie Mitchell, Ryan Derr and Zachary Cella, her 4 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Faith Thompson and her husband Richard, her brother-in-law Richard Rod and his wife Irma and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 11:00am until her Funeral Service 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 11th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Virginia’s interment will follow in St. Valentine Cemetery in Bensalem.
