REMENTER, GEORGE W. Jr., age 90, of North Cape May passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his sons home. George was born June 6, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA.; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1984. He is the son of the late George W and the late Mabel (Eby) Rementer, Sr. George grew up in Lansdowne, PA and spent his summers in Ocean City, NJ. He graduated from Upper Darby High School and Duke University. George served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy during World War II participating in the Normandy D-Day Invasion. He was a Cape May City Lifeguard the summer of 1947. George was employed by Natural Distillers, Philadelphia, PA as a Sales Manager. He was preceded in death by his wife Gwen in 1987. George is survived by one daughter Diane (Tony) Sayegh of CA; one son George (Patricia Heller) F Rementer of N Cape May, NJ; four grandchildren: Seth, Addie, Tyson, & Andy; and three great-grandchildren: Jonah, Cruz, & North.
