REHILL SR., ROBERT V., 83, of Green Creek passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 26, 2017 after bravely battling a brief, yet hard-fought illness. Bob has been a resident of the Cape May area for the past 40 years. A man of honor, he proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Tarawa during the Korean War. A true tradesman, he was a master carpenter; a master mechanic and could fix just about anything with his never ever quit attitude. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and served Cape May County under the business name, “RV Rehill & Sons.” His family came first and was always his priority as he enjoyed time with his grandkids, especially around the holidays. During his younger years he was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and also had an eye for the hot rods as well. He is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Gertrude Rehill; three brothers, Andrew “Bud”, John “Jack” and Phil; three sisters, Gertrude, Betty and Dorothy. Bob is dearly missed by his loving family which includes his wife of 55 years, Marie; children, Wayne, Dale, Bill, Robert (and Yuliya) and Maria; grandchildren, Billy, Robert III, Edward, Megan, Tyias and Timothy and great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (Aug. 2nd) at 11am in St. John of God Church, 680 Townbank Rd., North Cape May where friends will be received from 10am until 10:50am. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cem., Cape May. (Spilker Funeral Home, Cape May) info and condolences: spilkerfuneralhome.com
