POPE, IONE M., age 97, of Stone Harbor, died on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Loyalton of Cape May. Born in Rochester, NH, she has lived here since 1971 coming from Japan. She was a Computer Analyst for the United States Government Department of Defense in Tokyo, Japan, an Army veteran of WW II and member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Stone Harbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas L. Pope, her mother Eva Leavitt Hill, father Harry Hill, her brother George Hill and sister Josephine Schreckengaust. A memorial service in her honor will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 9425 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247. Interment was private.
