PAULSON, DAVID V., 88, of Stone Harbor, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 surrounded by family at home. Born in Death Valley, CA to the late Agnes (Berg) and Carl Paulson, he moved to Stone Harbor 24 years ago from Berwyn, PA. He spent the first half of his life in California before moving east to Pennsylvania for a job. It was there he met his wife and started his family, living in Broomall, Chester Springs and Berwyn. He received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Redlands and worked as a physicist/aerospace engineer for General Electric Space Division, The Franklin Institute Research Center and Aerojet in California.
A Korean War veteran, Mr. Paulson served in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, he was assigned to Special Weapons Teams as a Nuclear Supervisor aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CV-33). He was commissioned as Ensign USNR and received his honorable discharge with the rank of LTJG.
Mr. Paulson attended The Lighthouse Church in Cape May Court House. His family meant everything to him. He found joy in spending time with and providing for all those he loved.
Mr. Paulson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan H. Woolery Paulson; his two children, Stephanie Baka (Greg) and Andrew Paulson (Kristen); and his five grandchildren who loved him very much. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Goldis (Paulson) Nelson.
