OWENS, VIRGINIA L., age 88, of Wildwood passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at home. Virginia was born in Philadelphia, PA; and has been a Cape May area resident since the early 1980s. She was a graduate of John W Hallahan High School in Philadelphia. Virginia was employed at 20th Century Fox Film Company in Philadelphia and worked at the Delaware County Sheriffs Office before she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Secane, PA. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband James Owens in 2010. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Francione of Villas; her daughter Deborah (Bill) Carr of Erma; and her sister Margaret Lorraine Driscoll. Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Nicole, Jimmy, Jacqleen, Jessica, Jennifer, & Veronica; her six great grandchildren: Eric, Lilie, Andrew, Preston, Finley, & Gianna; and her nephew Bill (Sue) Driscoll. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Our Lady of the Angels RC Church, 35 E Mechanic St, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210; where friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
