ORZECH, EDWARD G., 77

ORZECH, EDWARD G., 77 of Stone Harbor, NJ passed away August 28, 2017. Ed was born the youngest of 7 children in Conshohocken, PA to the late Joseph N. and Anna Orzech (formerly Chrostowska). He graduated from St. Matthew High School in 1957 and later served in the US Army. He then lived in King of Prussia and along with his wife Janet opened The Paisley Shoppe in Wayne, PA in 1972 and another in Stone Harbor, NJ in 1977. Ed was a member of the American Legion Post 331 in Stone Harbor and was the resident pool shark in the ‘Mole Hole’. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and travelling as an avid treasure hunter and metal detector. He was predeceased by his wife Janet in 1995 and siblings Chester Orzech of Conshohocken, Joseph Orzech of Homestead, FL, and Stephanie (Sylvie) Proietto.
Ed is survived by his sons, Edward (Debbie) Orzech and Chris Orzech; grandchildren Jake, Jana, and Ryan; brother Thomas Watson Orzech of Clayton, NJ; and two sisters, Jean Berkisczuk of Conshohocken, PA and Irene Andreyko of King of Prussia, PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 331, 11617 Second Ave., Stone Harbor, NJ 08247 on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the American Legion at the same address.
