JANICE ELIZABETH
Janice Elizabeth Brown was born on 4 December, 1950 at Chestnut Hill Hospital, PA to Richard M. Brown Jr and Christine F. Brown. She was found in her house in North Cape May, NJ and was pronounced dead on 21 July 2017. She was 66 years old. Janice was a 1968 graduate of Upper Dublin High School in Fort Washington, PA, then earned a degree in English from Shippensburg in 1972, and later a Masters in Counseling from Penn State. Janice and Curtiss Campbell found each other in July 1993 and were always together afterward, getting married on 21 May 1999. Curtiss died unexpectedly on 5 February 2000 at their home in Lansdale, PA. In addition to her counselling work, Janice taught Psychology at Montgomery County Community College for several years, before moving to Cape May in 2007. There she continued to teach in a few different venues, and still pursued her personal counselling business. She was also very involved in community affairs, including Cape May Stage, Music and Photography groups until 2015, when she encountered some major health challenges. Janice was pre-deceased by her late husband Curt, her parents Richard M. and Christine F. Brown Jr, and her step-mother Jocelyn. She is survived by her brother Mitch (Sandi), niece Christy (Santiago), and our siblings Lyn, Diana (John), Thom (Joan), nieces Amy (Doug), Emily (Roger), Cathy and nephew John (Madison) and their seven children, also her brother-in-law Nelson Campbell (Jeanine).
Graveside services are planned to be held on Saturday, 7 October 2017 at 4:00 PM, in Whitemarsh cemetery, Prospectville, PA. In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation may be sent to the Cape May Christmas Parade, Cape May Stage, or your own favorite charity.
