MUNSON, ADA MAY (nee Chambers), 83, of Cold Spring, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ada was born in Mayville in October 1930. She was a lifelong resident of Cape May County. Before retiring in 1995, she was the office manager for her husband’s business, J.E. Munson Insurance. She attended the First Baptist Church in Cape May Court House. Ada was an avid golfer and long term member of the Wildwood Golf and Country Club. For many years, she was tournament chairman of the Wildwood Womens Golf Association and served on many volunteer committees. She was also very involved with the Rotary Anns. She loved traveling and spending time with her family as well as knitting, crocheting, cooking, and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was predeceased in 1962 by her loving son, Jonathan E. Munson, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jonathan E. Munson; her daughters, Peggy Ann (Jim) Verna and Patricia Lee Munson; her grandchildren, Michelle (Jim) Verna Knox, Nancy (Chris) Verna Gill, James (Carly) Verna, III, and Kylie (Tim) Listwan Bush; and eight great grandchildren. In addition, she is also survived by a sister, Mildred Miller; a brother James Monroe “Roie” (Dixie) Chambers, III; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 101 South Main Street, Cape May Court House. Viewings will be held on Thursday, November 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Adas memory may be made to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O.
