MUISELAAR, AGNES, age 92, of Wildwood Crest passed away peacefully Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Emeritus of Cape May Nursing Home. Agnes was born September 23, 1921 in Elizabeth, NJ; was formerly from Glenn Rock, NJ; and has been a Cape May area resident for 63 years. Agnes served her country in the US Army during World War II. She was one of 91 nurses on the island of Iwo Jima after the battle there. Agnes later worked as a nurse at the Methodist Hospital in New York City, and as the school nurse at Summerville Elementary School in Ridgewood, NJ. She was a graduate of Jamaica Park High School in New York City and a graduate of New York University. Agnes was a member of the Wildwood Crest First United Methodist Church; was active in several Republican Clubs; and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Muiselaar in 1993 and her daughter Candy Johannson. Agnes is survived by her daughter Debbie Klein of St Augustine, FL, her daughter Dorice Johannson of Cape May Court House, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
