MORRIS, JOHN “CLARK”, 70, of Cape May, NJ and Stuart, FL passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, in his home on March 25, 2014 with his supportive and loving wife Mimi by his side. He was a graduate of Pitman High School 62 and spent his childhood in Cape May Point and Cape May, where he has been a longtime resident. Clark was a member of the Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club, past member of the Sportsmans Club in Cape May Point and Wildwood Country Club, and frequented many local Cape May watering establishments. Clarks hobbies included fishing, golfing with The Guys, and the gift of gab, where he could meet and make a friend in an instant. He was well known, deeply connected, and loved the Cape May community. Clark was a successful businessman where many of his endeavors bore his name. Clarks Restaurant 67 to 84, Clarks Bike Shop 67 to 84, Clarks Hot Dogs and Frozen Coke 85 to 93, Clarks Oil and Belle-wood Oil Service 86 to 05. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Llewellyn Morris and his grandson, Ryan M. Baxter. Clark will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Madeleine Mimi Morris (nee Mamet). He also leaves his children, Mari (James) Pellerin, Lorraine (Peter) Baldwin, Madeleine (Rick Lundholm) Morris, Clark (Michelle) Morris Jr., and Jane Constance Morris. He will be missed by his 8 grandchildren, Meghan (John) Carbone, Drew Baldwin, Ashley Baldwin, Ally Pellerin, Jimmy Pellerin, Jacqueline Morris and John Clark Morris III, and two great grandchildren, John Ryan and Declan Carbone. He will also be missed by his sister, Jane Freas-Fogg. Relatives and friends are invited to Clarks viewing on Saturday (March 29th) from 10:00 am to 11:30am in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington Street, Cape May with a time of sharing and remembrance beginning at 11:30am.
