MINER, CAROL MILLER, 82, of Goshen, peacefully passed in her beloved home Saturday,
July 8, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by six children; Christopher Diller (Mary Kline), Donald Miner (Terri-Ann Giandomenico), Michael Miner (Jodi), Katharine Diller, Lisa Diller (Michael Sarsfield), Jessica Graves (Ted); Grandchildren Brittany Miller, Natalie Diller, Charlton “Chili” Graves and Rachel Miner, great grandchildren Eli Laird and Maggie. She is also survived by sisters Sandy Voth (Curtis) and Sharon Jones (of the late Robert Jones), sister-in-law Barbara Arenberg and many relatives and friends including the Metz family.
Carol was born on January 1, 1935 in Philadelphia, to the late Mathew B. Miller and Sheila Miller. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Donald, “Pete” Miner.
Raised in Pennsylvania, Carol graduated Lower Merion High School and attended Bucknell University. She and her clan of close friends enjoyed summering in Stone Harbor.
Carol embodies strength wrapped in kindness, achieving her creative vision much like a waveforce. She designed her environment so that every view was planned, a surprise at every turn.
When Pete retired, they left Collingswood and Avalon to build the “Marsh” with their son DL Miner Jr. She created an understated colonial home surrounded by English gardens and stunning views of the marsh. Her legacy to many is ‘Hard work and kind loving actions grow beautiful things’. She died as gracefully as she lived.
Carol fought gracefully through her many health obstacles without complaint and with kindness to all who helped her. The family is ever grateful to Holy Redeemer and her final caregiver, Joan Crawford.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, 2p.m. at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. A candelit gathering and celebration will be at “The Marsh”, 4-7p.m. 307 North Rt. 47 Goshen NJ. In lieu of flowers please plant a tree in Carol’s honor, wherever one is needed, be it a National Forest or your back yard. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
