MERSCH, LORRAINE, age 57, of Cape May Court House, N.J., passed away October 17, 2017. She was born June 17, 1960, in Newton, N.J., to Mr. Harry and Frances Hepworth.
Mrs. Mersch dedicated much of her life to children, both her own and others. As a pre-school teacher for more than 15 years, she had a lasting impact on the lives of so many. Following her teaching career, she and her husband chased and captured their dream of living by the beach in Florida and having a successful jewelry business. In the end, Lorraine found her way back to Cape May and education, guiding people towards successful careers in health care at the ASI Career Institute.
Mrs. Mersch was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed music, gardening, the beach, her dog Mojo, spending time with friends and family, a glass of wine in the evening and a fresh cup of coffee in the morning.
Mrs. Mersch was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Mersch, mother Frances Hepworth, father-in-law Dr. Marcel Mersch, and two brothers-in-law Mr. Drew Mersch and Mr. Rick Cammack.
Mrs. Mersch is survived by one daughter and her family, Sara and Dan Maloney and granddaughter Morgan Maloney; one son and his spouse, Todd and Katie Mersch; her father and spouse, Harry and Sonni Hepworth; her mother-in-law Joan Mersch; three siblings and their spouses, Guy and Corrine Hepworth, Ross Hepworth and Danny Cope, and Matthew Hepworth; three sisters-in-law and their spouses, Ellen Cammack, Beth and Michael DiMaggio, Jeanne Mersch and Karen Podgorski; two brothers-in law and their spouses, Paul Mersch, Rob and Lauren Mersch; and ten nieces and nephews.
