McMAHON, JOAN SHIRLEY (nee SAGE), 79, of Sicklerville, formerly of Cape May Court House, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013. Joan was born and raised in Collingswood, NJ. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Joe McMahon. They were married for 58 years before he passed away on October 8, 2011. Together in Deptford Township, they raised three children Judy Simpkins (Joe), Terri Brown (Ron) and Steve McMahon. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Cody, Sage, and Ronnie; and one great grandson, Damon Simpkins. Joan retired from Underwood Memorial Hospital after 23 years in 1991. They retired to Stone Harbor and then to Cape May Court House. She enjoyed going to the casino and her family. Joe and Joans life revolved around their family. She was very active at Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was the president of the Womens Club. The family would like to thank Sue, Doris, and Charlene from Compassionate Care Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Mom. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Asbury Methodist Cemetery, Swainton.
